A great start to the morning! Our CMHS football players and cheerleaders gave high-fives to our GCE Cougars as they headed off to breakfast. What a fun way to kick off the day with Cheyenne Mountain spirit!

At GCE, teachers have talked with their students about Cafeteria and Hallway behavior the past two days. We are developing school rules together with our students for all our common areas. Tomorrow we will be talking about Out of Sight areas like the bathroom and traveling in the hallway to other classrooms.

At Gold Camp Elementary, our classrooms kicked off the week with a focus on common area rules in our school. During classroom Morning Meetings, teachers engaged students about their interactions with peers and adults when they are on the playground. Tomorrow the discussions will be about lunch time.

A little Gold Camp Back to School Night magic! Ms. Stoller Lee’s 2nd grade parents wrote secret messages in white crayon, and today their students painted over them to reveal the surprise!

Gold Camp's new Counselor, Mr. Gibbs, is on a roll today. He is holding "Meet the Counselor" sessions with grade-levels. This morning he has met with 4th and 5th graders.

What a great way to begin Orientation Day at Gold Camp! We were happy to have Superintendent Dr. Peak, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Aldridge, and Executive Director of Student Services Dr. Claudio join us as we kicked off the new school year. We’re grateful for their support and for helping us start the year on such a positive note!

Welcome to our new and returning CMSD12 substitute teachers for the 2026-27 school year🎉 We are so thankful for your commitment to our students, staff, and families!

It's been a busy last week of school at Gold Camp Elementary. We had our Kindergarten and 6th grade Continuation ceremonies. Today, we had our end of year awards assembly. CMHS seniors, formal GCE students, came to start off our assembly and we celebrated their accomplishments.

The tradition continues... CM 5th/6th Grade Field Day at CMHS☀️🏃🏽♂️🏃🏼♀️ GO Bears, Eagles, Cougars, Wolves, and Comets!

Happy Principal's Day to our GCE Principal, Mrs. Royall! Thanks for helping us learn, try our best, and have a good day at school. You make school a fun place to be!

Turns out our GCE staff has some serious hidden bowling talent. Huge thanks to our principal, Becki Royall, for making this team-building happen. It was the perfect mix of laughs, friendly competition, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting!

At Gold Camp, 6th graders in Mrs. Markus' science class began their presentations of their element Superhero or Villain projects. Students used STEM concepts and tools to include 3D printing and their creativity to share what they know about elements on the periodic table.

Gold Camp Cougars shine! 📚 Mrs. Heim’s 5th graders’ hard work from reading 40 books paid off as they placed 2nd and 4th out of 150 schools at Battle of the Books at Colorado College. They’re headed to their next competition on May 9 at the Pioneer’s Museum—we’re so proud!

Several Gold Camp artists had their artwork on display at our District Arts Celebration this afternoon. Their art showed just how creative and artistic our students are! Thank you Ms. Bayles for all that you teach our students.

GCE had such a blast welcoming the CMHS Show Choir! 🎶✨ Thank you for coming out and sharing your incredible talent, energy, and beautiful voices with us—you truly made it a performance to remember!

At GCE our first grades learned about how things get built this week in reading. Today they tried building their own bridges and then tested their structures for strength. It was a great STEM activity and cooperative learning opportunity for them. Check out their progress!

At Gold Camp this afternoon and this evening, our second graders performed their musical "Three of a Kind" for our students and families. They did such a wonderful job. Way to go Cougars!

GCE school-wide 'morning meeting' led by our students modeling friendship, teamwork, and patience - way to go, Cougars!
