About Us
Gold Camp Elementary School is a proud part of the Cheyenne Mountain School District, a district well known for its tradition of excellence. Built in 1997, Gold Camp is the newest of our five elementary schools. We are located on the western edge of Colorado Springs nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains at the base of Pikes Peak. Our campus is surrounded by pine trees, mountain mahogany and scrub oak. We have three classes of each grade, kindergarten through sixth grade. Our district policy for maximum class sizes is 24 students in kindergarten, 25 students in 1st through 3rd grade, and 27 students in 4th through 6th grade. Our enrollment is approximately 480 students. At Gold Camp, parents participate in their child's education and are very involved with the Gold Camp community/family. Everyone on our staff is dedicated to ensuring that all of our students feel celebrated, supported and encouraged to learn and grow. Thank you for visiting us online - please feel free to visit us in person, as well, and see how we pursue excellence every day, in every way.
